MOISTURE TRANSPORT DURING THE STORAGE OF SEED IN SILO. PART II. INVESTIGATION OF MASS TRANSPORT BETWEEN THE GRAINS WITH DIFFERENT WATER CONTENT

Abstract: The structure and function of a test plant for measuring of convection and contact components during the moisture transport between the grains with different water content have been presented. The studies of change in moisture versus time for sorbate and sorbent were carried out. The process of moisture transport was described with expotential equations with assumption of symetry during the wetting and drying process. The prevailing role of contact moisture transport between the grains with different moisture has been proved.
